I just started reading a lot about Egypt and when I read their is no stopping me. So any way I was researching and this is what I found.
Their was something I really wanted to share with you all this is more for women then men. What you wear is a big thing over there. Why? I am glad you asked:
#1. When you are in your home town you wear what is comfy... well you can't do that there
#2. Wearing cotton and very cool clothes will help you from getting heat stroke.
#3. Bathing suits are a big deal over in Egypt, your best bet is to wear shorts and a t-shirt( in a hotel pool).
#4. This is for the women don't wear clothes that show boobs or butt or anything having to do with sexual. why? MEN WILL GROPE YOU!!
I was reading something the other day and a women said she was wearing revealing clothes. She noticed she was feeling a lot of pinching on her butt area and touching. I would be extra careful to remember the dress code.
I also found out something too, always bring bottled water. Why? I am so glad you asked lol:
#1. The water in Egypt is to risky to drink, I mean keeping up with the task of boiling water and seeing if its drinkable takes to much time. I mean if you are like me I am lazy so just get the bottled water and freeze that bad boy!
OK their is this annoying thing with counting money. I mean I look in those traveling books and they don't tell me jack on counting money! I'm in America so US money is way different them Egypt's money. I found maybe a little easier way to count, every thing over there is done in decimals so
1 Egyptian pound = 0.180018 U.S. dollars
2 Egyptian pounds = 0.360036 U.S. dollars
And so on and so on I mean if you think about it like that (pounds are the dollars on the right hand side ) then it does make it a little easier.I have heard a lot of people don't take cabs over in Egypt. I feel that is a good idea take a personal driver (if you can). I will add more to this post some other time but for right now this is enough
